I am looking for prospective graduate students with interests in signal processing, optimization, and machine learning. Research in these areas requires a strong background in applied mathematics (e.g., linear algebra and probability). Take a look at my research and papers to get a feel for my interests.
If you are interested in my research and possess the required background, please apply to the Georgia Tech ECE PhD program - note that if you are interested in doing a PhD you should apply directly to the PhD program, even if you do not have a masters degree; a masters degree is not necessary for admission to the PhD program in ECE at Georgia Tech. Please note your interest in working with me in your personal statement and contact me after submitting your application.
I receive a large number of e-mails from students expressing an interest in applying to Georgia Tech and working with me. Generally, I receive far more inquiries than I can personally respond to. If you contact me but don't hear back, please don't take this personally. In lieu of a response from me, check out http://www.ece.gatech.edu/academics/graduate/apply.html for more detailed information about the application process.
I am also interested in working with Georgia Tech undergraduate students who wish to gain research experience in signal processing and machine learning. Interested students should contact me by e-mail.
